HHOA Meeting Minutes for October 16, 2018  

       Attendees : Reininger, Bennett, Ellis Reeves Clogher Faircloth, Benny Reeves

       Attendees: Committee Chairs: Hine, Yates, Shaffer, Andrew Reininger

 

The meeting was called to order by President Katie Reininger at 6:30 PM

 

Meeting Minutes for the September 18, 2018, meeting were approved

Treasurer report for YTD October 17, 2018, was approved

 

Old Business:

1. Street sign at Century and Tower will be installed Saturday 10/20/18, weather permitting

2. Motion to finance cutting of Century Circle was seconded and passed

3. Flag dedication ceremony will be planned by Steve Shaffer and Andrew Reininger

 

New Business:  

1. Benny Reeves, Treasurer, explained what he will need from the budget holders to start the preparation of the 2019 Budget.

2.  Discussion:  Should dues be increased on rental homes from $30 to $45? 

3.  Discussion:  Should a vote to revise covenants (to make membership mandatory) be held?

4.  Discussion:  Garage Sale will be held in March or April 2019.

5.  Motion to purchase Fall Decorations not to exceed $250.00, seconded and passed.

6.  Discussion:  Tree removal at 5217 Bush River Road. Second memo to be sent to owner.

7.  Discussion:  Should Hallmark Court be annexed into Hallmark Homeowners Association?

8.  Discussion:  Should HHOA purchase empty lots in neighborhood?   

9.  Discussion: Should HHOA request periodic inspections at 107 Century?  

 

Committee Reports:

     Communication:  Fall Newsletter needs articles, reports, pictures etc. Call Steve Shaffer

     Public Works: Creek pipes have been cleaned out at Century and Spartan; Mowing the grass, adjacent to sidewalk, next to empty lots on Spartan Drive has been arranged; Drainage pipe removed on Kirkbrook Court; Sewage pipe to be rerouted and connected to Columbia Sewage system; street light at 306 Spartan will be requested; 30 MPH and 35 MPH signs are being investigated and signage will be synchronized on Bush River Road; speed traps will be requested to slow speeding traffic on Bush River Road; repair of sink holes on Spartan and Century will be discussed with City of Columbia Water Department.

      Membership:   The 2019, membership campaign is currently being planned.  

      Beautification:   No major projects currently; holiday maintenance of front end planned.

      Safety/Crime Watch:    Next quarterly meeting to be announced.
